For those of you that don’t know who Andy Karl & Orfeh are, where have you been?! They’re like, THE power couple of Broadway…

Matt & I first discovered these two inspiring artists when we saw Pretty Woman on Broadway in late 2018. Andy portrayed the role of Edward, whilst Orfeh portrayed Kit. We loved this musical SO much that Matt & I still talk about it all the time; the performances from all involved were literally incredible.

Something about Andy and Orfeh stuck with us though…

Both Andy’s and Orfeh’s vocals are PHENOMENAL and I don’t use that term lightly. We are talking literally out of this world. Like, how Orfeh hits the notes that she hits, is literally beyond us - have a listen… look them up on YouTube…

Aside from Broadway shows, Orfeh & Andy have their album entitled ‘Legally Bound’ which we downloaded straight after seeing Pretty Woman. 12 months later, we’re still listening. Just in case you’re wondering, or the album title wasn’t clear enough, yes, they are married… 💍💕

Legally Bound, along with the Pretty Woman album motivated me through a difficult time and on to greater things, therefore, Matt and I decided that if a Legally Bound tour was ever announced, we would get tickets and fly in from London.

So, last weekend, we flew over to New York for 30 hours with the sole aim of seeing this show (although we did manage to cram in a couple of other things whilst in town 😉). Legally Bound was being held at Feinstein’s/54 below (a compact and intimate venue) in NYC.

Performing hits from their album along with a fair few more, the show was totally worth the 7,000 mile round trip! I mean, after listening to Legally Bound for the best part of 12 months, having the opportunity to be there live was just THE BEST.

Some of our favourite tracks include: “You’re All I Need To Get By”, “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough”, “Ain’t No Stopping Us Now”, “Piece of My Heart”, “Kiss” - there’s literally too many to list here.

Look out for their version of “Hotel California” on their social channels too; it’s not on the album but was definitely one of the highlights from the night.

If you’re visiting NYC at any point, I would definitely recommend reviewing the listings to see if Andy or Orfeh (or even better, both together) are starring in any shows over the period you’re in town. You will not be disappointed.
